Our Process

Financial planning is the long-term process of wisely managing your finances so you can achieve your goals and dreams, while at the same time negotiating the financial barriers that inevitably arise in every stage of life. Remember, financial planning is a process, not a product.

What actually happens during the financial planning process? Here's a quick look:

Establishing the client-advisor relationship.

We will clearly explain the services we will provide to you, along with our responsibilities and yours. We will also explain how we will be paid, so you understand that we have no conflicts of interest.

Setting goals & gathering information.

Together, we'll set your personal and financial goals. We'll talk about your timeframe for achieving certain results, and how you feel about investment risk. This is a critical step before we ever give you any advice.

Analysis & evaluation.

We will assess your current situation and determine what you must do to meet your goals. Depending on what services you have asked for, our analysis could include your assets, liabilities and cash flow, current insurance coverage, investments and tax situation.

Presentation of the plan.

Once our analysis is complete, we will offer recommendations and go over them with you to be sure you understand them. We will also listen to any concerns you have and revise the recommendations if needed.

Implementation of the plan.

We can help you carry out the plan or serve as your "coach," coordinating the whole process with you and other professionals such as your attorney, accountant or stockbroker.

Monitor the plan.

We will periodically review your situation and the progress of the plan, and adjust the recommendations, if needed, as your life or other factors change.
