Adam Legate is originally from Western Kentucky and is a Graduate of Webster County High School and the University of Kentucky. While attending UK he earned a Business Degree in Economics.
Adam began his career in the financial planning industry in the fall of 1998 with Prudential Financial in Lexington, KY. In the spring of 1999 he moved to American Express Financial Advisors (AEFA), and completed training designed to provide advice regarding wealth management, retirement planning, and asset protection.
In March of 2000, he joined VFG Wealth Management, a private investment planning firm that provides financial solutions to individuals and business owners concerning wealth management, retirement income strategies, and asset preservation. He and his wife Jamie, and their sons Griffin and Greer live in Lexington.
Adam is certified as a Securities Representative, with Series 24, 53, 7, 63 and 66 licenses through LPL Financial, as well as Kentucky Life and Health Insurance designations. Adam is licensed to sell sell securities in AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, HI, IL, IN, KS, KY, MI, MO, NH, NC, NY, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WA, WY.

Jason S. Young began his career in the financial planning industry in the spring of 1999 with American Express Financial Advisors (AEFA) in Lexington, KY. During his tenure at AEFA, Mr. Young received several top awards for excellence in client service and plan design as a financial advisor. In February of 2000, he joined VFG Wealth Management as a partner.
Jason develops relationships with his clients by offering sound advice to individuals who want to preserve assets, increase income, save money on taxes, etc. As a native of Lexington, Jason is actively involved with several local organizations including the Downtown Lexington Corporation (DLC) and Habitat for Humanity.
In 2000, Jason began working with various business owners around Lexington to administer not only their financial investments, but their group benefits as well including Health, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability. VFG also offers various Individual insurance policies and is licensed with all major carriers in Kentucky.
Mr. Young is registered as a Securities Representative, as well as a State Securities Representative through LPL Financial. Mr. Young is licensed in the states of Kentucky, Tennessee and Ohio for Health and Life Insurance.

Kevin has been working in Financial and Investment Services Industry since 2003. He is a Certified Financial Planner(™) . He carries his Series 7, Series 66 through LPL Financial, and his Health and Life Insurance Licenses. He received the Accredited Asset Management Specialist designation from The College Of Financial Planning and a Certificate in Financial Planning from the University of Georgia Terry School of Business. Kevin also received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Administration from the College of Charleston in 2002.
Kevin works with pre-retirees and retirees assisting them with ongoing Investment Portfolio Reviews in an effort to Accumulate Wealth, Provide Income in Retirement, Protection of Assets, and Estate Planning
Originally from Danville, Kevin currently resides in Lexington, Kentucky with his wife Amanda, who is an Administrative Assistant with Bluegrass Hospitality Group, their daughter Kaelyn and son Michael. Kevin enjoys playing golf and following University of Kentucky Basketball. Kevin is a member of “Premiere of the Bluegrass” Chapter of Business Networking International.
Susan joined VFG Wealth Management & Benefit Solutions in 2017 as the Administrative Assistant to partners Adam Legate and Kevin Kitchin. Born in Oak Ridge, TN and raised in Lexington, Susan graduated from Tates Creek High School and then Sullivan University with a degree in Office Management. She and her husband Kevin now reside in N. Garrard County and her two adult children, Jordan and Emily Harm, reside in Jessamine County.
Susan enjoys all things creative, artistic and fun, and strives to continue VFG's tradition of making clients feel welcome and valued.
